Weird Retro Exquisite Corpse Competition

Weird Retro is running its first exquisite corpse writing competition. The idea is simple, each writer submits a chapter of a short story based on the previous chapter written by someone else. Meaning that the story can take any twists or turns each writer's furtive imagination can come up with, leaving the next writer to pick up the pen (keyboard) and carry-on. Thus creating a crazy piece of collectively written weirdness. All the writer of the first chapter gets is a rough theme and an opening sentence, after that is up to each writer to propel the story forward however they see fit. In whatever style and manner they want, building the exquisite corpse.

To register as a participant just complete the contact form on page below, and you will be contacted with further instructions.
As we are on the road to Christmas, the general theme of the story will be a festive one. There are only 12 places in the competition, representing the 12 Days Of Christmas. Each participant will be randomly given a chapter to write, in which they must include a reference to the corresponding day from the famous Yuletide song. Once 12 participants have registered, we'll start. There is no minimum or maximum word count, but as a guide around 500 words is a ball-park figure. But if a writer feels they can say what they need to in a short piece of "flash fiction" 6-100 words, then go for it! The first participant will have 3 days to submit their piece, which will be sent to the next participant, who has 3 days to write the next piece, etc... etc... The whole work will be published chapter by chapter over the 12 days of Christmas, starting on Christmas Day. That's it! As simple, fun and as easy as that. So why haven't you registered yet?

All entrants will receive an exclusive Weird Retro gift for participating, and after all piece are published, readers will get to vote for their favourite chapter. The winner of which will be sent an extra special one-off uber cool Weird Retro prize! So have you registered then?
