A brilliantly bad sexploitation parody of Roger Corman's Little Shop Of Horrors. Starring Buck Kartalian who appeared in Cool Hand Luke (1967) and played Julius in Planet of The Apes (1968) but he also appeared in weird sex movies like The Acid Eaters (1968), where he played the Devil, and this one. Buck plays Henry Fudd, a shy and lonely middle aged virgin, who buys a carnivorous plant, that has a taste for bad sexploitation actresses. Saving them from a fate worse than having to endure the awfulness of this movie. Bad acting, terrible editing, a script written on the back of a beer mat. And scenes of actual masturbation and sex. All make for a classic piece of exploitation fluff and nonsense, that isn't for everyone. Truly only a movie for hardcore fans of 70s sexploitation. The movie features a sex scene between regular sexploitation actors Ric Lutze and Rene Bond (a real life couple) who also appeared in Ed Wood's hardcore porn swansong Necromania (1971), and the twisted rapist fantasy flick Girl In A Basket (1975). There's also a cringe-worthy cameo by the director Carl Monson as a cop who gets eaten. |
Weird Retro Fact: Bizarrely, Buck Kartalian more recently played a character called also called Henry, in the sitcom How I Ate... Sorry I mean... How I Met Your Mother!
